Some of my faves.

I think one of the biggest things that keeps me going with my leather is being inspired by other artists. I wanted to share a few of my faves lately.

Wool wrapped bangles made by misticfibers http://www.etsy.com/shop/mysticfibers . So bright and fun! I love the simplicity and texture of these bangle bracelets.

I freakin' love this dress! So adorable made by onthetrashyside http://www.etsy.com/shop/onthetrashyside . She has some really awesome handmade rockabilly style clothing. I could totally see this dress being worn at a vintage trailer rally or a sisters on the fly event http://www.sistersonthefly.com/ . Too fun!!!

This apron made by snappyshop http://www.etsy.com/shop/snappyshop would make cooking that much more fun! Snappyshop makes lots of other fun style aprons, but this one would be so great to wear hosting that summer bbq! Or just hangin' in the kitchen looking pretty.

Spring is around the corner, and planting some pretty flowers is a must! What a neat idea kcsweetinspirations http://www.etsy.com/shop/KCSweetInspirations has selling her hollyhock seeds for others to enjoy! Hand harvested, they come up year after year. These would look gorgeous in any garden!

Making a quilt is so impressive to me. So much time and strategy put into making one. I think this quilt is lovely with all the fun colors (not to mention it's at a awesome discounted price!). Sygnetcreations handmade this beautiful quilt http://www.etsy.com/shop/sygnetcreations.
Thanks for inspring me everyone!

Road trip series

I'm excited about my new road trip series I've been playing with. Vintage travel trailer belt buckles, and dotted yellow line belts.

I'm truly inspired by my recent purchase of a little vintage travel trailer of my own. A '75 Safari 13 footer. She's a doll, Can't wait to fix her up and have her ready for the summer! Meanwhile, other fun RV inspired buckles yet to come. I'm also in the works of getting my road trip series put on this website http://www.rvartgallery.com/ They have a large collection of RV, and trailer related items for sale. Check 'em out!

Boots, boots, and more boots!

I had my craft show this past Sunday, and it went great! I love getting out there and doing busy shows. Not just for making sales, but getting a chance to talk with the people out there, buyers and other sellers. It's inspiring to see what other artists are making, and getting feedback on what people like.

So, my boots and lilies were a hit! I've decided to focus on making lots and lots of boots over the next few months. Hopefully so I can have a wide variety of sizes and styles for people to choose from at my next show. I've been on the hunt for cowboy boots, and have already accumulated a little collection ready to be upcycled (picture above).

And the leather lilies...lots more of those to come too! I've been making these lilies for quite sometime now, but just recently they have been becoming noticed. Not sure why, maybe better photos, and displaying them so they stand out at shows? I never gave up hope on my happy lilies =).

In the near future you will now be seeing a variety of colors with my happy lilies, some glittered, giant ones, and minis too! Exciting stuff!!!

Holiday show this weekend!

I will be participating in a very exciting holiday show this weekend! It will be held at the pioneer courthouse square in downtown Portland. Come see me and my leather stuff, as well as Mi cuerpos Boninta (marionettes, calavera inspired), and many other fantastic artisans!
